Update 2: (2:50) Bus C has arrived and is loading kids. It will be on its way shortly.
Update 1: (2:32) We have just been made aware that Bus C is running approximately 15 minutes behind. Students will be supervised until the bus arrives and the bus will make all stops.
AACPS 10/22/25: Traffic accidents in the western portion of the county this morning are causing some significant delays for buses. All buses will make all stops but may be delayed in getting to those stops. Buses in the Arundel, Broadneck, Crofton, and Meade clusters may be particularly impacted.

The Board of Education today announced logistics for a public briefing and two public hearings related to Phase 2 of the school district’s comprehensive redistricting process. There are currently six plans under consideration, four of which the Board put forward at its September 17, 2025, meeting and two of which it added at its October 15, 2025, meeting.

Utilizing flexibility provided in a new law, the Board of Education has altered the current school year calendar by removing six early dismissal days and creating in their place three full school days for students followed by three non-student days in which teachers can complete grading and other staff can engage in professional learning. #BelongGrowSucceed #AACPSFamily

Acting on newly released unofficial enrollment counts for the current school year provided to it last night, the Board of Education has moved two additional redistricting proposals to public hearing. With last night’s action, the Board has now moved six proposals forward to public hearing.

Graduating seniors at 14 county high schools will once again receive their diplomas at the Live! Event Center at Arundel Mills this spring, with ceremonies at eight other schools scheduled at other venues, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Bedell announced today.

Our CSPES Tigers have been hard at work sharpening their skills on IXL — and the results are incredible!
💥 1,176 total hours of learning logged!
🧠 95% of that time was spent on skill practice — showing just how focused our Tigers are on mastering new concepts.
🎯 177,884 questions answered across all grades!
👏 On average, students answered 303 questions per week, showing strong consistency and dedication to growth.
🌟 Grade-Level Highlights:
🐯 Third Grade leads the pack with 442 hours and the most questions answered!
🐯 Second Grade follows close behind with 258 hours of focused learning!
🐯 Every grade level contributed to this amazing total — from Kindergarten all the way through Sixth Grade!
