Greetings, CSPES families!
We're excited to share that CSPES PTO is accepting nominations to fill officer positions on the PTO Executive Committee!
The following positions are open and we are eager to fill them with passionate new leaders:
President
VP Membership and Volunteer Engagement
VP Events
VP Fundraising
Treasurer
Secretary
Eligibility:
Applicants can be a CSPES parent, caregiver, teacher , staff, grandparent, or community member.
It takes a village to lead our PTO and we need YOU! We hope that all positions will be filled but, at a minimum, we must elect a President, Treasurer, and Secretary to keep maintaining our PTO's nonprofit charity status.
For more information and to apply for a position, see the flyers below and the PTO Officer Nomination Form. Applications are requested by May 3. Responses will be shared with PTO members for a vote. Per the PTO bylaws, PTO members will elect the new position by a majority vote. Elections will be conducted virtually starting May 6. We hope to announce our new officers at the May 7th PTO General Membership meeting!
If you have any questions or want to talk with a current officer to learn more about a role, please email us at cspespto@cspespto.com.
Thank you for your consideration and support!

In this week’s edition of Thursday Thoughts, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Bedell discusses finishing the school year strong in all facets. #BelongGrowSucceed #AACPSFamily

Parents & Guardians of 3-6th graders: ALL students need corded headphones or corded ear buds for MCAP testing (which is a school supply that is requested in the fall). Today, we distributed 51 headphones which depleted our back up supply and we were only testing sixth grade. There are days where all students in grades 3-6 will be testing. If your child does not have headphones they cannot test and will participate at an alternate time which will further disrupt their regular school days. Please support our school. Ensuring that standardized testing environment is smooth is one way you can contribute to maintaining our five star rating. Thank you for your support.
