It does not mean students would report to school at their standard start times or that students would engage in virtual instruction. 4:30 p.m., 1/8/25: All Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late on Thursday, Jan. 9. There will be no morning half-day ECI classes, and no morning sessions at the Centers of Applied Technology North or South. Families transporting students to school and those whose students walk to school should allow additional time and utilize extreme caution. A reassessment of conditions will take place on Thursday morning and any changes to this status will be announced by 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Please do your part by staying away from these areas so crews can do their work. Greetings CSPES Families, As you may be aware, there is a strong possibility of a winter storm heading our way at the start of next week. We are writing to provide you with some information related to virtual instruction on inclement weather days. AACPS has allotted three inclement weather days in the 24-25 calendar. Virtual instruction will not occur until all three days have been exhausted. AACPS will communicate with all families if there is a decision made to delay school, close school, or facilitate virtual instruction days. That decision does not come from the school. If AACPS utilizes all three allotted inclement weather days, they may determine to hold virtual instruction day. If that occurs, information about the day's requirements will be shared via your child's Rooms page. Chromebooks and other materials are being sent home today so that your family is prepared. As shared at the beginning of the year, we highly recommend purchasing a Chromebook charger for your student as they will not be sent home. Students do not need to complete any assignments unless there is a virtual instruction day determined by the superintendent of AACPS. Have a safe weekend!
