I am Ms. Hall and I’m elated to be joining MacArthur Middle School this year! I started my journey in 2017 as a Social Studies teacher at Prince George’s County Public Schools. I am excited to be teaching my next favorite subject: SCIENCE! I am a Maryland native and a mom of 3 beautiful boys! I consider myself an “artist,” in every sense of the word, because I am a musician; I am a violinist and a singer, I love drawing, creating, photography, etc. If it is artsy, I LOVE IT! Hi, I am Ms. Smith and I will be joining MacArthur this year as a new Math teacher! I substituted last year for MacArthur and I am excited to join the staff full time. A little about me is that I grew up in Jamaica but I am very excited to have the opportunity to live and work in the USA. I have been living here for almost five years and there is so many places that I want to visit. Hi! This will be my first year with AACPS, and I am so excited to get started! I grew up in Carroll County MD, and began my educational journey as an instructional assistant at Mount Airy Elementary (where I went to school!) I fell in love with 6th grade after student teaching at Northwest Middle. My favorite job so far, though, has been working at Walt Disney World! I am also a travel agent with Pixie Travel Co. After teaching Social Studies at Southern Middle School for six years, I served as Social Studies Department Chair at Central Middle School for the past two years. I’m looking forward to being an Alternative One teacher at MacArthur Middle School this year! Hello there! I’m Payton! I’m thrilled to kick off my third year in education! My journey in education began when I stepped into a classroom as a substitute teacher at Cradlerock Elementary and I haven’t looked back since. That experience sparked a true passion for teaching, and I’ve been dedicated to growing in this field ever since. I’ve had the unique opportunity to live all over the U.S., and even spent two years in Okinawa, Japan when I was 14 and visit Korea! Those travels gifted me with a love for diverse cultures and perspectives, something I bring with me into the classroom every day.
