AACPS 10/22/25: Traffic accidents in the western portion of the county this morning are causing some significant delays for buses. All buses will make all stops but may be delayed in getting to those stops. Buses in the Arundel, Broadneck, Crofton, and Meade clusters may be particularly impacted.

The Board of Education today announced logistics for a public briefing and two public hearings related to Phase 2 of the school district’s comprehensive redistricting process. There are currently six plans under consideration, four of which the Board put forward at its September 17, 2025, meeting and two of which it added at its October 15, 2025, meeting.

Acting on newly released unofficial enrollment counts for the current school year provided to it last night, the Board of Education has moved two additional redistricting proposals to public hearing. With last night’s action, the Board has now moved six proposals forward to public hearing.

The Board of Education of Anne Arundel County will receive new additional information regarding Phase 2 of the comprehensive redistricting process and consider revisions to the current school year calendar at its next regular business meeting, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

At the meeting, the Board will also receive an update on the minimum school funding requirements contained in the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future and the work Anne Arundel County Public Schools is doing to meet those requirements.
