Hello GBPE Families! We have rescheduled our Squisto's Night for Wednesday, January 29th from 4-9 pm! Come join us and help support our school!

Families,
Please remind your student(s) to be extra cautious during arrival and dismissal tomorrow. Even with the snow/ice removal efforts of our Chief, Mr. Jonathan, there is still a presence of ice and slippery conditions around the school, including sidewalks. Staff will be supporting students and take shifts in the morning to ensure they are not continuously outside during the 20 minutes of arrival and we will keep the car rider door open an extra few minutes. Dismissal will consist of our “rainy day” plan and students will be kept inside while waiting for pick-up.
Stay warm!

Today over 500 teaching assistants gathered virtually for AACPS' first Paraeducator Symposium, Empowering Paraeducators for Student Independence, organized by the Division of Specialized Instruction & Early Intervention Services. This professional development provided our valuable teaching assistants, from early childhood through high school, with sessions on a variety of topics including enhancing inclusive learning environments for all students. Seeing families as valuable members of our students' teams, the latest edition of the Family Academy features a session entitled, Inclusion: What is it and Why is it so Important? available to watch on the Family Academy YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/iFNZlPKmG24 (English), https://youtu.be/HNv-TpYadzc (Spanish)
