Annapolis Middle School has earned the 2025 AACPS Kindness Cup, a proactive and positive bullying prevention initiative created to improve school climate, increase student engagement, and incite advocacy.
To bring awareness to anti-bullying practices, this year’s Kindness Cup Challenge called “Welcome to our Community: A Place to Belong, Grow, and Succeed” encouraged students to promote their school's culture of kindness and inclusiveness through a video project that encourages mass participation by students and staff and highlights the best aspects of the school.
Annapolis Middle School’s video beautifully featured the reason why “every day is perfect to be a dragon,” as shown by the school’s diversity in community, curriculum, and culture.
A perennial favorite in the competition, Brooklyn Park Middle School finished second with a lively video filled with inclusive visuals of students and staff and one phrase said many ways, “Welcome to Brooklyn Park!”
Meade Middle School rounded out the winners with a colorful bilingual display of the school’s vibrant and supportive academic and social environment through the eyes of the school’s sixth graders.
